Ted Allen was a world class horseshoe pitcher, horseshoe manufacturer, performer at rodeos, theaters, sports and horse shows as an exhibition and trick shot pitcher. He was inducted into the NHPA Hall of Fame as a charter member in 1966. Ted Allen broke many records on his way to 10 World Championship titles. Among the records is the amazing feat of 36 consecutive doubles (72 ringers) which he accomplished in 1955 at the world tournament in Murray, UT. He also set the WT qualifying record by pitching 187 ringers out of 200 shoes. Ted won 771 games during his 31 years in World Tournament competition.
